~廢話連篇~

here's a simple question... when is Labour Day this year?

for the past month or so, i've been under the impression that it will be on the 8th

and so by the reasoning that school starts after labour day, i though school starts on the 11th

 

apparently, this year labour day is on the 1st... and so school starts on the 4th...

and there goes one week of holiday i thought i had......

 

o well....

 

since i'm on the topic of school starting... this year is gonna be a crazy busy year for me

i'm going to school full-time, AND i have TWO part-time jobs

 

i don't know how i'm gonna make that work... but i'm gonna try it out and see

 

this up coming school is gonna be a lot of "firsts" for me...

1. i'll be getting my first degree in chemistry (after that many courses in chem and tuition spents on credits... it would really be a waste if i didn't get a fancy piece of paper out of it)

2. finally working and earning some dough (although i've spent most of it already..... )

3. finally working in a pharmacy (i think i may have to start flipping through that CPS.... don't ask me what the drug is for....)

4. first time juggling school and work (we'll see how this one works out)

5. entering my 5th year of university, officially becomes the the person with the longest years in school in my family

 

just thinking about school is giving me a headache.. or it might also be because it is now 1:30am and my brain is needing sleep

 

sleepy time.. working tomor, apparently we're rearranging the entire store so there's be place for new stock on arriving monday

note to self, stretch a bit and wear comfy shoes...

it is now 3:21am, and my dad and ijust got home about an hour ago

 

i'm not going to tomor clean up, i think i've been enough of a help counting cash

OMG, can you imagine the amount of cash generated in ONE day of folkfest? there's like at least $20,000 of cash! not to mention more than $1000 of coins to count and roll

for the past years i've never been asked to handle cash, probably because i was too young and didn't have any experience

so i always thought that they had to have some money-counting-coin-rolling machine to help them out.......... not the case

everything is caounted by hand, added by sleepy and tired brain power, and checked by people in the exact same state

 

the worst part is, it never balances at the end, no matter how careful you were

 

although, i now know the pain of counting and recounting cash that is measureable by height

 

anyway...

 

 i have tomor off!! WEE~~~!

it's small, it's white, typing is really hard on it (that's why i'm posting this with my pc; i have enought trouble with typos already...)

actually it's technically FREE, because, you may have seen it on tv, it's an Royal Bank promotion for people who switch to their bank

the bank switching cost me $15 because TD sucks and is bitter that they're losing customers

and 2 monthly fees of 13.95 for that "No Limit Signature Account"

 

so the correct answer is approximately $43

 

but here's the thing... it's really not very useable, other than the fact that the screen is really tiny

the OS is Linux, which is a very simple operating system even babies can use

the harddrive is only 2G, the OS itself takes up 1.7G, which leaves me with less than 300mb for everything i would want to save, including internet temp files and cookies

the good thing is that it has an SD card slot, meaning i could use an 8G SD card for expendable space

 

if you didn't understand any of that, i shall explain it to you directly if i see you.... if you really want to know, that is..

 

another funny thing is...imagine other people's faces when they open it and sees that the language bar and dictionary is in chinese

i mean, i can read it so it's not a surprise for me and ASUS is a taiwanese brand

if they just happen to press ctrl-space, or tap on that language icon, the lanuage input is swtiched to taiwanese phonectis...... they must be going.. "wft? i can't read that"

 

so yes, that is my new toy, whichi think will come in handy once school starts, if only i can learn to type on it...

the release date haven't been set, but it's a movie I have to see, i would go alone if i have to....

because Kimura Takuya is in it

it's his second hollywood film, after 2046, and it looks way more interesting

 

so hopefully it's not a limited film and opens world-wide
